About Jeff Michel

I am the Senior Vice President IP & Licensing, Deputy General Counsel at Light & Wonder (f/k/a Scientific Games, Inc.), the global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of slot machines and gaming systems, interactive wagering and social gaming products. I am responsible for acquiring properties and managing LNW’s leading brand portfolio across all business channels. I also provide counseling in all areas of intellectual property, advertising, trade practices, and run the anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting program as well as supervise related intellectual property litigation. I am responsible for the development and management of LNW’s trademark portfolio comprised of marks in 85+ countries. Prior to joining LNW I was Senior Counsel at Enesco and Associate General Counsel at True North Communications, Inc. Previously I was an associate with the law firms of Wildman Harrold Allen & Dixon (now Locke Lord) and Schiff Hardin, where I specialized in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Prior to attending law school, I was an Account Executive with Tatham-Laird & Kudner (now Euro RSCG Tatham Partners) responsible for Stouffer's Lean Cuisine frozen food line and Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders shampoo franchise. I received my undergraduate degree in Economics (B.A. Magna Cum Laude) from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and my Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law (J.D. Magna Cum Laude).
