Jeff is a security architect at Protocol Labs, a research, development, and deployment lab for Web3 protocols. He has over 30 years of experience in information governance, including security, risk, compliance, privacy, and data value. He holds or has held CISSP, CIPP/IT, and CGEIT credentials, and is a recognized expert in Web3, AI, and cloud security. Previously, he worked as a technical program manager and advisor at Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, where he designed, reviewed, and aligned large-scale technical specifications and operational guidance for identity and access management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data consent, transparency, and trust. He also contributed to the development of Azure, O365 Intelligent Services, Bing Cognitive Services, Cortana Skills, Liqui|>, Coco, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Gaming, Skype, and other AI services. Jeff is passionate about instilling transparency, empathy, security, and trust within Web3 and AI platforms, and enabling large-scale digital transformations. He is also an avid mentor to professionals and students in security, risk, and STEM field careers, and a champion of diversity and inclusion within STEM teams.
