Experienced energy lawyer, having advised clients in Europe, North America and Asia for over 17 years in negotiating energy-focused commercial transactions, making investment decisions and managing long-term commercial relationships. Over 10 years’ experience as in-house/corporate counsel in the LNG sector, with extensive experience advising business leaders throughout the commercial strategy formulation and decision making process, negotiating transactions to execution, and building relationships between business stakeholders to coordinate risk identification and management. Responsible for managing legal aspects of various business activities including credit, sanctions, disputes, compliance and regulatory issues. Areas of specialist expertise include- Liquefied natural gas (LNG)- negotiating long-term LNG agreements, short term LNG trading and optimization transactions, LNG vessel charter agreements, other LNG commercial and project agreements, and managing commercial and operational issues and disputes arising throughout the full transaction life cycle- LNG liquefaction project development, with particular focus on commercial LNG and marine/maritime aspects- Energy Transition and Net Zero initiatives including hydrogen/H2 and ammonia/NH4 infrastructure development, and other green energy / renewables developments.
