About Jeff Olson

I got my start in the jewelry industry in my junior year of high school. I worked as an apprentice to Master Jeweler Robby Mayhall. In the summer of 1988 I went to Trenton Jeweler school in Little Rock Arkansas. There I received my basic certification. I then went back to Trenton for my advanced stone setting certification. in inn 1991 I became the jeweler for Genesis Jewelry in Muscle Shoals I worked with Genesis for five and a half years before moving to Huntsville, Alabama in 1997. I started the business JRS (Jewelry Repair Services) and worked exclusively with the Mark's and Morgan company. I offered full service repair for three stores with combined sales in excess of 2.5 million annually. Around I closed JRS and moved back to the Shoals area and resumed working with Genesis Jewelry. in 2005 I traveled to Virginia beach to attend New Approach Jewelers School and completed the Advanced stone setting Course. I have continued to grow and hone my craft in both repair and custom one of a kind design creation. With 30 plus years of experience I've risen to Master craftsman I plan to continue to expand my knowledge and skill set. I have recently started learning and practicing the art of hand engraving. I look forward to furthering my education increasing my skill set ands growing as artist.
