About Jeff Otto

I am a Materials Engineering graduate with a demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions to meet the companies' needs. Having worked in manufacturing in a variety of industries, from foods to oil and gas, I am experienced working within a range of Quality Management Systems developing new, and improving existing, processes and products through continuous improvement methodologies. I have successfully worked on RnD projects in the oil and gas coil tubing industry. New and improved products were developed then tested in lab conditions meant to simulate the real world as closely as possible. I developed and performed testing procedures based on known parameters, inputs from the engineering team, and relevant industry standards. The performance results were documented in detailed test reports, which were used to optimize the final product design. In addition to my experiences in process improvement and product development, I have also performed failure analysis on pressure control equipment that failed in the field due to unexpected and adverse conditions. When possible, attempts were made to recreate the failure in a controlled environment which led to the development of counter measures to prevent re-occurrences. I am driven to learn through experience with a proven ability to successfully work within both a team environment and alone.
