As a seasoned Designer and Artist with over 30 years of experience, I bring a diverse skill set and a passion for creating exceptional game experiences across multiple platforms. My leadership style focuses on empowering and supporting teams, having successfully led and mentored teams of 25-30 artists and designers throughout my career. I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and success. My ability to adapt to various challenges and tools ensures my teams can thrive and deliver high-quality results on time. I have extensive experience developing on a wide range of platforms, including iPhone/iPad, PlayStation (from PSX to PS3 and PSP), Nintendo, Xbox, and PC. This has allowed me to build a versatile portfolio and gain insights into the unique requirements of each platform, ensuring seamless integration of design and development across devices. With a deep understanding of level design and editing tools, I am highly proficient in Unity, Unreal Engine 5, Hammer Source, Radiant, and 3DS Max. I have worked with various preparatory engines and am skilled at effectively communicating the needs of the design and art teams to programmers, ensuring smooth workflows and successful project completion. My environmental modeling and texturing skills are built on tools like Photoshop CS5, Animate/Flash, Moho, and 3D Studio Max. I excel in creating assets from concept to final delivery, including character modeling, rigging, and animation. While I have a strong background in high poly work, my expertise lies in low poly prop, environmental, and character creation, ensuring optimized assets for performance without sacrificing quality. In addition to my technical skills, I bring traditional 2D art expertise to the table, including painting, drawing, storyboarding, sculpting, and scratch modeling. As a former cartoonist, I possess a keen eye for detail and an innate ability to bring ideas to life, whether through hand-drawn concepts or fully realized 3D assets.
