About Jeff Powell

My passion is people - helping and mentoring them, supporting their growth and development and striving wherever I go to create a collaborative, healthy, and fun culture while getting the job done! I have successful track record of accomplishment, coupled with my technical background and global leadership experience. I was aware of my grandfather's Naval service during WWII as well as my father's during the Vietnam era, but as I approached my senior year of college I read this quote that President John F. Kennedy gave at the Naval Academy in 1963:"I can imagine a no more rewarding career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worth while, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:'I served in the United States Navy.'" That was it! That quote perfectly encapsulated my feeling that at the end of my life I wanted to be counted among those that served their country. So I joined. Only for four years.or so I planned. You know how this story goes - I recently retired from the Navy after a successful career of serving others and leading teams of the finest military and civilian personnel anywhere. I had 14 jobs, 11 moves, 6 deployments across 27+ years in uniform. Countless trips and missions have taken me to six continents (why South America.why?) and 35 countries.and the one I love the most is this one! I am located in the Atlanta, Georgia area.just far enough away that I just smile whenever someone asks me about the traffic here! When I'm not helping my organization grow and connect with people, I'll be trying to maintain my (usually) single digit handicap on the nearest golf course or cheering on my beloved Clemson Tigers!
