Background
About Jeff Schrade
Jeff Schrade serves at the crossroads of business and politics. He has been working in the political arena for more than 35 years and today provides strategic counsel and advocacy for companies, causes, and associations with various needs. He serves in a variety of capacities, including executive director of the National Coalition for Open Roads and as vice president of Policy Impact, a government and public relations firm. Jeff cut his political teeth in Idaho before moving to Washington DC in 2001. He worked on Capitol Hill from 2001-08, and then went to work for a natural gas trade group where he reported to the presidents and vice presidents of Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Conoco-Phillips, and more. His clients over the years have included a major university, an American Indian tribe, a European government, a leading-edge cybersecurity firm, a pro-family organization, a statewide chamber of commerce, an orthodox Jewish organization, a nationwide trade school, and many more. Prior to his current position, Jeff worked with LNG Allies to promote the export of America’s abundant natural gas to friendly nations and earlier served as the director of communications and government affairs for the Natural Gas Supply Association. Jeff served on the personal staff of two U.S. Senators, was the communications director on two U.S. Senate committees, and served as a key member of a governor’s staff on nuclear waste issues. His efforts resulted in a $3 billion settlement agreement with the federal government. He also successfully managed a candidate’s race for the U.S. Congress. Mr. Schrade has been interviewed by NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News, CNN, BBC, the Voice of America, Washington Post, New York Times, Associated Press, and 60 Minutes, as well as local newspapers, radio, and TV stations. Before moving to Utah, he served as the Chairman of the Stafford County Virginia Telecommunications Commission. In Utah, he recently served as a member of the board of a homeowners association and as chairman of the Wasatch County Tax Advisory Board.
