About Jeff Smail

I joined Value Village, a Savers brand, in 1989 as a frontline manager-in-training, and even now, 35 years later, I learn something new every day. After 35 years in store operations, I am now focused on the real estate end of our business. I’m responsible for identifying innovative new store location throughout Canada including our new boutique format. I’m proud to be one of many team members who’ve built long and successful careers at Savers, North America’s largest for-profit thrift retailer. I climbed from trainee to store manager, district manager four years later, regional manager, regional director, senior director of field operations, and in 2016, vice president. I love that with the right aptitude, attitude and strategic outlook, Savers team members can thrive and advance. I also love our business model of improving lives through the power of reuse. We help hundreds of non-profit organizations maintain their vital community programs and services. Each store strives to be a strong and positive influence in their local communities, and I enjoy the diverse markets we operate in across the United States, Australia and Canada.
