About Jeff Soyk
Jeff is a media artist with a BFA in New Media Design from Rochester Institute of Technology (2005) and an MFA in Media Art from Emerson College (2013). His work has received an Emmy, Peabody, Peabody-Facebook Award, and has been selected by THE FWA for Site of the Day and Cutting Edge Project of the Week.Soyk has a passion for socially-conscious storytelling and immersive experiences, leading him to forms that merge documentary content with interactive media (interactive documentary), as well as creative coding. He is currently an MIT Affiliate and part-time faculty at SMFA at Tufts University (Boston), while freelancing as an interactive creative director, UX designer, UI designer, and frontend developer. He is also an MIT Open Documentary Lab fellow alum.
