About Jeff Speicher

Over the course of my career I’ve found myself in the fortunate position of working for some of the nations most iconic properties including Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys, Hotel Del Coronado and Omni Hotels in San Diego, and currently at Halekulani Hotel where I’ve been employed since 2008. The positions served have included beach attendant, dockhand, baggage porter, waitstaff, room service, banquet server, and porter. Working in an environment with multiple moving parts has allowed me to expand my skill-set so that I may provide more value to my employers. As a child growing up in New Jersey, holidays were mostly spent helping at the family farm Hillside Orchards in Western Massachusetts in a multitude of capacities whether it was weeding the garden, scooping blueberries, picking cherries, or harvesting apples, there was always work to be done. This upbringing carried over to my studying ornamental horticulture at Cuyamaca College and later aquaculture at American Samoa Community College where I completed an internship assisting local farmers with projects ranging from tilapia production to building a giant clam hatchery. Today my interest continues with my backyard garden and chicken raising for eggs. Outside of the hotel industry, I’ve served as program manager with the American Samoa Swimming Association from 2005-2007, providing free water safety and swimming lessons to the people of Tutuila. In 2015 after receiving my real estate license I worked at Better Homes and Gardens Advantage Realty in Haleiwa and with Manage Hawaii LLC as a realtor property manager.
