About Jeff Thies
I have focused on student success for over two decades in higher education. From starting as a mathematics faculty member in to my current role as a Dean, my work has consistently targeted collaborative efforts to make community college environments learner-centered. Our team was a recent Bellwether award winner (2020) for the work we've done to significantly increase the gateway math and writing completion percentage of all students and significantly for our Latinx population. I have been fortunate to learn from mentors at each of the three Hispanic Serving Institutes where I have worked and look forward to continuing to learn as my efforts to support the elimination of the equity gap continue.
