About Jeff Thompson
After retiring from the Navy I worked as a residential natural gas system and appliance (water heaters, furnaces, stoves and gas fireplaces) installer. I was recruited to work at Pacific Aluminum as a fabricator and assembler of aluminum storefronts and doors. When the company was purchased buy its current owner, I was selected to assist in the installation of a CNC mill and saw. I implemented the CNC programming and coding as well as the set up and direction of the system configurator. Later when an ERP system was added I also led its implementation. Having been instructed by the manufacturers of these programs I maintained leed position for updating system programs and maintenance. When the position of Plant Manager opened I applied for and was awarded the position, which I held for three years. With my knowledge of the operating systems and production requirements I later moved into Engineering. Having set up and operated the system configurator and ERP systems I became the Shop / Production Engineer where I led the coordination of Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
