As a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in providing quality Accounting and Finance services and best practices. Accounting support to Federal Government Contractors and Non-Profits with Federal Government Grants. My expertise spans across various technical skill sets, including, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. I have successfully managed multiple projects as a Project Director at NeoSystems Corp and Vice President of Finance at Freedom Consulting Solutions; where my expertise in financial analysis; strategic planning; and team management supported a bm broad and diversified clientele and delivered best in class support and impeccable results. I have supported 6 CostPoint ERP Cost Accounting System implementations; in which, two of them I was the Project Manager (PM). Additionally, I lead the transition/migration of two migration/integrations for two aquations; including the FTEs from the acquired companies. My expertise in leadership was instilled in me during my 10 years of service in the Marine Corps. We were trained, extensively, to lead by example, which is how I lead my Accounting & Finance teams. Compliance with industry regulations and governing statutes is always at the forefront of my mind; and, I ensure absolute compliance at all times. As a consultant I need to adapt rapidly to learn my client's governing regulations as quickly as possible to avoid a disruption in day to day processes and workflow. Recently, I expanded my services to support industries outside the GovCon/Non-Profit sectors and have been supporting both private and commercial organizations. I have provided supporting to industries such as SaaS, Cyber Security, Software, Professional Services, Consulting Services and Law Firms. I also provided support and leadership on an engagement that involved a significant backlog of late payroll tax filings and preparing for the pending and resulting audit. I am extremely efficient at fixing and repairing broken and non functioning Accounting and Finance departments, implementing reasonable and compliant processes, procedures, internal controls and fraud prevention security controls. After the controls are documented and implemented, I then conduct an ICSA audit to ensure internal compliance by all applicable staff and department(s).
