Began my nursing career as a staff nurse at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in the Surgical Intensive care unit in 1991. After being in the unit for a year my direction changed towards interventional cardiology in the Cardiac Cath Lab which I became a team leader and spent 17 years. Opportunity again presented when the hospital established the Electrophysiology program which I was ask to implement in 2009. Equipment was purchased, staff was hired and we began the program that has been a great success to the patients we serve. We now have two electrophysiology physicians with a very robust afib program and planning a second lab within the next two years.
