About Jeff Webster

My business/finance experience stems from my time in the USAF, where I worked as Resource Advisor and Unit Deployment Manager (UDM). As a Resource Advisor, I managed squadron funds, reconciled expenses, formulated annual budgets/spend plans, and briefed squadron/wing commanders on major purchases and finances. As a UDM, I maintained personnel trackers, scheduled training, and helped ensure the smooth rotation of personnel through deployments. At the Mills International Center at the University of Oregon, I worked as the Finance Manager and Special Project Manager. As Finance Manager, I formulated our yearly budget with the director, reconciled/tracked expenses, and presented our budget requests to the overseeing finance board for approval. As Special Project Manager, I spearheaded a diverse set of projects; an example of one such project being the rejuvenation of our outdated computer systems, wherein I determined the necessary hardware, and worked with information services to acquire and install them. I try to bring a different point of view and creative thinking to my work projects and problem solving. In addition to creative problem solving, I try to see solutions through the lens of sustainability, and the greater social/ecological systems that influence our world. I have a drive to learn, and I pride myself on my flexibility and quick adaptation to new challenges. Given the time, resources, and direction, I am willing to engage and learn about almost anything. My creative knowledge, coupled with management and life experiences, has provided me with the ability to conceptualize and execute complex and creative ideas. In addition to the above, my education at the University of Oregon has provided me with a wealth of creative know-how; from 3D modeling, to digital art, time-based media, video editing/creation, and interactive design. I am experienced with digital and film photography and photo processing. I have a passion for photography, and have experience working with many types of cameras, from 35mm to DSLRs and mirrorless, to large format 4x5 film. I have been featured in the Northwest Florida Daily Newspaper, the LomoWall Exhibition at Photobastei Zürich, Switzerland, the LaVerne Krause Gallery, and on the University of Oregon School of Planning, Public Policy and Management Urban Ecology website.
