HIGHLIGHTS- 2 Years Real Estate Broker in Costa Rica - 6 Years Internet Marketing / Web Development - 2013 - Current: Brilliant Directories COO / Co-Owner - Operations, DevOps, Web Development Current Career Passions: Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), Javascript / NodeJS Development, Finance, Investment Starting in 2006, Jeff spent over 2 years as a top ranked Real Estate Consultant in Latin America with Colliers International Costa Rica, and later as a Broker and Real Estate Sales Manager at ERA Latin America. Following a sharp decline in the real estate market in 2008, Jeff turned to a more lucrative market that he had a childhood passion for: web development and internet marketing. After close to 2 years of rigorous apprenticeship under some of the most prolific names in the online marketing industry, Jeff founded his own internet marketing company, MAE Internet Marketing. MAE Internet Marketing was a leader in "INSTANT RESULTS LINK BUILDING", a revolutionary approach to the practice of link building that provides companies with measurable search engine ranking improvement within days, not months as with older methodologies. After 4 years running MAE Internet Marketing, he was recruited to join Brilliant Directories as Head of Operations and co-owner. As the 3rd member of the team after co-founders Matthew Brooks and Jason Haloossim, Jeff set up operations in Costa Rica, and grew the team to include a total of 25 people. Currently Jeff continues his role as Operations lead, and spends the majority of his time working directly with the Development Team on PHP, MySQL, and Javascript improvements, implementing DevOps practices, and maintaining the server infrastructure for the websites running in the Brilliant Directories network.
