About Jeffery Hicks

I am an experienced Dental Educator and Program and Clinic Administrator with a demonstrated history of excellence working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Accreditation of dental education programs having been the Chair of the Commission on Dental Accreditation and responsible for over 1,400 dental programs and residencies. I have developed significant skills in Acquiring federal and other training grants (>$38 million total funding), Directing Advanced Education Programs, Negotiating and conducting training programs with foreign entities and companies for foreign trained dentists and in the Administration of a hospital department and dental clinics. Currently, I am Professor of Dentistry with an emphasis on grant writing. I also serve or have served on advisory committees to the US Health Resources and Services Administration, the American Dental Association, the Commission on Dental Accreditation and the American Dental Education Association. I possess a Certificate in General Practice Residency, and Fellowships in the American Dental Education Association Leadership Institute, in Hospital Dentistry from the Special Care Dentistry Association and in the National Academies of Practice, with Diplomate status from the American Board of Special Care Dentistry.
