About Jeffrey Abramowitz

Jeffrey Abramowitz, J.D is the CEO of the Petey Greene Program. Jeff previously served as Executive Director of Justice Partnerships for JEVS Human Services and Executive Director of Reentry Services. Jeff is the founder of the Looking Forward Philadelphia Reentry Program. Jeff is also the Founder/President of Looking Forward Community Engagement Partnership, and the founder of the National Workforce Opportunity Network, a fully integrated workforce development and career placement agency. Jeff is a 2017-2018 JustleadershipUSA Leading With Conviction Fellow. Jeff was a civil trial lawyer for over twenty years before poor choices led to a federal indictment and a five year sentence in a Federal prison. After his return from prison, Jeff served as the Director of Student Services & Workforce Development for Community Learning Center, an adult literacy agency serving Philadelphians who are undereducated, unemployed or underemployed. Jeff serves as Secretary and Board Member of the Coalition on Basic Adult Education (COABE) and previously chaired the their Prison Literacy Committee, and now chairs the State Advocates for Adult Education Fellowship Program. Jeff is the chair of the Phila Reentry Coalition. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Reentry Council and chairman of the Employment Committee. Jeff serves on the Advisory Board of Community Forgiveness & Restoration, and Eastern University Prison Education Program, and Grant BLVD. Jeff was recently appointed to serve on the Montgomery County Public Defender's Association Advisory Board. Jeff hosts the Looking Forward Show a Television/Radio show on Philly Cam Television and Radio (106.5 FM) and is a keynote speaker and lecturer around the country on issues of adult education, workforce development, prison reform and criminal justice. Jeff also co-hosts the Behind Every Employer Podcast with Anson Green and Produces the Advocast, The Adult Education Podcast. Jeff is a subject matter expert for the US Department of Education in the areas of adult literacy, correctional education and workforce development, Moderator for the LINCS Correctional & Reentry Community of Practice.
