About Jeffrey Baker
A card-carrying Baby Boomer, I attended the Woodstock Festival, performed in various rock-and-roll ensembles, and have a degree in ecology from The University of Connecticut, the state in which I grew up. After college, I was a gardener for the Rockefeller Family in Pocantico Hills, New York. I later served as “the piano tuner to the stars” in New York City, working with artists such as Billy Joel (all piano services for three albums), Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Andre Previn, and producers such as Phil Ramone as well as thousands of other recording sessions and concerts. I have composed more than one hundred musical works in the classical as well as the theatrical genres. My opera comique, Psyche, is currently in development in New York City. My album of chamber music, The Music of the Zodiac, has had more than downloads. My recent philosophical treatise, Eat My Dust, Martin Luther, as well as a collection of epigrams, Pearls of Wisdom, and my newest collection of essays, Blah, Blah, Blog, are available as e-books (Amazon) and in paperback (Createspace) as well my recent memoir, Secrets of a Celebrity Piano Tuner.
