About Jeffrey Bower

Jeffrey Bower is a Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he leads the development of new markets and opportunities to scale the use of digital financial services for underserved communities across Latin America and the Caribbean. With over 15 years of experience in the payments and fintech sector, Jeffrey is a recognized expert in designing and launching innovative and impactful digital payment solutions that enable financial inclusion and reduce the use of cash. Prior to joining IFC, Jeffrey was the Payment Services Lead for the World Food Programme, where he built the next generation of payment systems to pay recipients of the world’s largest humanitarian organization. He also founded and led Bower & Partners, a digital payment consulting practice that delivered work for global clients such as the World Bank, the Better Than Cash Alliance, Scotiabank, and HSBC. Jeffrey has a Masters in International Relations from the University of Toronto, and speaks English, Spanish, and French. He is passionate about accelerating the adoption of digital financial services and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders in the payments ecosystem.
