My previous work experiences range from a Fortune 500 company (Beverly Enterprises, Ft. Smith, AR) to a start-up consulting company (DCR, St. Louis, MO). My most recent position before going out on my own was with Children's Mercy Hospital (Kansas City, MO) which achieved a rating among the Top Ten Children's Hospitals nationwide during my tenure. During that tenure at Children's Mercy Hospital the department which I lead accomplished the following: · Conceived and implemented a new software development and licensing plan which reduced the dependency on Microsoft, increased the use of alternative software, and saved the hospital $2.4 million over a four year period, with continuing savings of over per day · Upgraded from an Exchange e-mail environment for users · Daily count of trouble tickets into the help desk dropped 121% · Network downtime incidents decreased 187% in my first year · Eight failed projects were resurrected and successfully completed, and over a four year period 280+ new capital projects ranging from software/hardware deployments to interface developments were completed with a 98% on-time completion rate · After an initial reorganization of the department, employee turnover decreased 80% In recent years I have started two companies- Erickson Solutions Group - Message On Demand Specialties: Leadership, network design/architecture, project implementation, training, technical documentation and communication; Previous success with systems from Misys/Allscripts, Meditech, Cerner, Cisco, Alcatel, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, Adobe, EZBIZ, GE, Mckesson, VMware, and IBM; Extensive experience in project and program management with a track record of success for implementing projects on schedule, within budget, and with quality targets significantly exceeding the standard.
