About Jeffrey Hack

Jeff was most recently CEO of Paya (NASDAQ: PAYA), an integrated payments and technology company. Jeff led Paya through its complete lifecycle: GTCR portfolio company and corporate carve-out from Sage Group LLC in 2018, successful de-SPAC/IPO in Fall 2020 and sale to strategic buyer in 2023. Produced top decile returns for the original private investors and Paya’s public equity significantly outperformed benchmarks. As Paya CEO, Jeff dramatically grew revenue and profitability by delivering innovative solutions and technology to a focused customer base, building a strong leadership team and integrating five tuck-in acquisitions. Despite the IPO occurring during a brief 15-week period and in the height of the pandemic, Jeff navigated all new public company requirements including building a board and public company governance, IR, SOX and SEC filings. Negotiated and closed sale process in 3 months, attracting a cash buyer at a premium multiple. Prior to Paya, Jeff led several financial services/fintech businesses at First Data (Small Business division), JPMorganChase (Global Private Banking and Transaction Banking) and Smith Barney (Wealth Management). In these roles, he demonstrated a consistent track record delivering best-in-class top- and bottom-line growth through clear strategic priorities and disciplined execution often incorporating digital transformations leveraging technology, data/analytics and robust end-to-end operations. Delivered many fintech solutions through acquisition and integration as well as commercial partnerships. Jeff received his MBA from Harvard Business School and BS in Economics from The Wharton School.
