About Jeffrey Hemperley

The moment I left high school I hit the ground running. Immediately following graduation in 2015 until 2019 I decided I needed a change in my life and joined the Army hoping to give all I could while becoming something more. I was given countless leadership opportunities and even led people far from home, but there was something fundamental missing. Having been a mentor to many of people thanks to the opportunities in the Army, I discovered very quickly that what most of these men and women needed was a teacher, someone to help lead them through the struggles of what life could bring. It was there I learned I had a burning desire to return home and join the world of teaching; I wanted to be a driving force for those who needed it.Now that I’ve returned home, I'm studying to become a Physics teacher. I see this as an opportunity to be able to help both inside and out of the classroom. Returning to school has only deepened my passion for learning and teaching, and I continue my drive to become a positive role model to many a youth. I know now that if I want to be the best teacher that I can, I must always pursue knowledge right along with my students. The idea of one day standing in front of a classroom motivates me beyond belief, and to me that is only one step among many for this new journey that I've come to embark on.
