About Jeffrey Hunter

I'm an investment professional with over 25 years of experience in financial services, including nearly 20 years dedicated to institutional investment management across private equity, real assets, and co-investments. As Portfolio Manager at bcIMC, I was responsible for a $1B+ Asian focused private equity portfolio with approximately $600M in annual pacing. I led due diligence, manager selection, benchmarking, and co-investment execution. My work supported portfolio construction, strategic allocation, and long-term value creation for a large Canadian public-sector pension. In 2014, I founded and led Charles Bridgeford Asset Management ("CBAM"), an independent investment platform focused on Canadian farmland. As Managing Director and Chair of the Investment Committee, I directed firm-wide investment strategy, governance, and investor relations. Our strategy delivered a 13.1% annualized unlevered return over a 4.3-year average hold period, with a 3.92% average annual cash yield. My experience spans all phases of the investment process, from sourcing and structuring through execution and post-investment monitoring. I've led stakeholder communications, authored regulatory-aligned policies (AML, privacy, BCP), and mentored analysts through their CFA designations and beyond. I'm now looking to contribute my experience and judgment to institutions focused on long-term investment excellence—particularly in private markets, real assets, or broader investment strategy.
