Background
About Jeffrey J.
I vividly remember sitting on my computer watching videos on the DARPA challenge robots clumsily moving across harsh terrains, tripping over broken trees, or buildings or absolutely nothing at times, but always getting back up, getting through the course to the human in trouble on the other side. What I remember the most from these videos is the camera panning to the students beaming with joy and high-fiving each other, celebrating the accomplishment of their long hours, failures, and frustrations. From my childhood, I have envied that feeling of accomplishment. I enamor myself with that feeling, to motivate me in everything that I do, in my coursework, work, research, and hobbies. Whatever I do, I work toward being a meaningful contributor, to achieve the satisfaction that comes from only time and growth spent in that field. This feeling describes what It means to be a learner, this feeling defines me.
