Background

About Jeffrey Jiang

I'm a software engineer who likes to deeply understand systems and obsessively wring performance out of large projects. My experience is oriented towards distributed computing, but benefits from a broad knowledge of related topics ranging from HDLs and compilers to computer networking and transformer architectures (LLMs). This expansive background has often provided insights that lead to potential optimizations or novel solutions. My interests also extend beyond typical software engineering fields to finance, military history, and macroeconomics. These hobbies are somewhat related in that I can usually find osint reports on major geopolitical incidents before Wall Street processes them or read through raw data prints to come up with my own conclusions on the probability of high/low biases on consensus estimates. I've similarly accumulated an expertise in portfolio theory and financial modeling coupled with an intuition developed through years of market watching to turn this edge into actionable positions.
