About Jeffrey Johnson

I have developed a broad and deep range of skills in what can broadly be described as storytelling within constraints. I always was a writer, and as I completed high school and moved into my undergraduate education I learned how to express myself more clearly and tell a more compelling story. I also learned how to tell stories with a point of view as a newspaper editor and how to tell stories grounded in research and exploration of the past as a History major. While adhering to the requirements of various states' educational standards; I researched, wrote, and presented content for history textbooks. Later, I attended film school and learned a different medium of telling stories, adapting my research perspective to write screenplays set in the past and learning to think visually and to work with a creative team. Finally, I attended Law School at the University of Baltimore. There, I honed my storytelling into how best to frame an argument. I conducted legal research, wrote briefs, and excelled at formulating and presenting a compelling story on behalf of clients in moot court, the Innocence Project, and my work for victims of intimate partner violence with the House of Ruth. Currently I research and gather evidence and legal authority to create compelling and persuasive stories to reach the best outcome for my clients.
