About Jeffrey Nerone

I have a unique background that will be valuable to the mental health industry as a psychotherapist who understands the value of men's well-being, emotional awareness and struggles with depression & anxiety. Graduated from Marquette University with a BA in Psychology and Professional Communication, I finished my graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at Cardinal Stritch University. I have interned at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, learning DBT techniques while I co-facilitated group therapy sessions in their IOP program for patients struggling with depression & anxiety. I am available to present recent research results on how men's social support groups may decrease depressive symptoms in men. I am also available to employers to present how stress can leave employees vulnerable to depression and anxiety. I am available to speak about men's depression or the vulnerability of anxiety and depression from being unemployed or receiving news of upcoming layoff. For any employers who need a team to present resume writing, networking & job placement, I can provide emotional challenges employees may face being unemployed. I developed a media company (Inner Compass LLC) that offered resources for men’s well-being, produced a radio talk show program and created an online magazine that addressed gender-role conflict men struggle with each day. I look forward to working with others on ongoing research in men's well-being and guiding others through their struggles with substance abuse and steps to make healthy decisions to improve interpersonal relationships and overall well-being.
