About Jeffrey Nightingale

Jeffrey Nightingale is a graduate student and doctoral candidate in the Behavioral and Brain Sciences program at the University of Georgia’s Department of Psychology. Jeffrey presently works as a graduate research assistant in the University of Georgia’s vision sciences laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Billy R. Hammond. His training primarily focuses on the development of novel equipment and methods used to study the visual system and his current area of study has been on the behavioral effects of intraocular scatter. Among his scientific interests has been the development of novel equipment and methods used to study the visual system and their implementation in various research environments, including underserved communities and diverse populations. He has been involved with a number of research projects exploring this area of study, and has played a meaningful role at all steps of the scientific process from research design and data analysis to scientific writing and conference presentation.
