Jeffrey Pryce is Professorial Lecturer in international law and diplomacy at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a Senior Fellow at the SAIS Foreign Policy Institute, where he directs the program on International Security, Law and Diplomacy. He has been Of Counsel at Steptoe LLP, with a practice focused on international law and dispute resolution, for 25 years. He previously served as Counselor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and DoD Special Counsel for International Affairs (1993-1994). He graduated from Yale Law School and clerked for two terms for Supreme Court Justice Byron White. He previously served for five years as a foreign policy and defense adviser to Sen. EM Kennedy and then-Rep. Ed Markey. He earned his undergraduate degree, with majors in Philosophy and in Government, from Wesleyan. He earned an M.Phil in International Relations at Cambridge University, where he founded the Cambridge Review of International Affairs. He speaks English and Spanish and is a regular contributor to radio and television programs on international affairs. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Society of International Law, and a former Board Secretary of the Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs.
