About Jeffrey Scott

Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in assessment, individual and group therapeutic interventions. Established working relationships with culturally diverse populations from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds through non-profit organizations. Strong professional, therapeutic and interpersonal skills, effective communication and clinical writing are core strengths. Commitment to helping relationships, promptness and reliability are identified attributes. Briefly, while spending multiple years as a lead pre-school teacher in low-income head start programs through Community Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA) and later, Metropolitan Family Services, I envisioned and realized the need to work with children and families from a more holistic perspective. My focus shifted to the human services side with a deep interest in issues surrounding fatherhood and male involvement. Through past relationships with fatherhood initiatives and seasonal contractual work with Chicago Area Project, this vision has become my passion. I am driven to be an agent of change and empowerment in the lives of those that I encounter.
