Qualified and experienced consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Neurologist. Completed training in general pediatrics & in pediatric neurology (including epilepsy & neuroimmunology) in Sydney, Australia, in a large tertiary children hospital (Westmead Children Hospital - now called Sydney Children’s Hospital Network). Holds the Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physician (FRACP) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology. In addition has a PhD degree in Medicine from Sydney University, Australia (in neuroimmunology-autoimmune channelpathies). Moved from Australia to UAE in 2013. Worked as Consultant and Division Chief Pediatric Neurologist at Tawam Hospital, Al Ain and as Adjunct Associate Professor in Pediatrics at United Arab Emirates University. Devoted to deliver the best care to children with all kinds of pediatric neurology disorders, including developmental delay, headache, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, stroke, neuroimmunology neuro-developmental and neurogenetic disorders. Expertise in specific areas including neuroimmunology (such as pediatric multiple sclerosis) and complex epilepsy and its management including medications, ketogenic diet and vagus nerve stimulation. I have a special interest in rare neurologic diseases. Leading in medical education, research and publications. Interested in studying autoimmune neurologic disorders; also have interest in the discovery of novel genes in children with neuro developmental disorders. With a syndrome named after: Suleiman El-Hattab Syndrome. Invited speaker to many international & national conferences. Reviewer for a number of distinguished journals. On Editorial board of Frontier Neurology & Frontier Pediatrics. Founder of Emarati Pediatric Neurology Network (EPNN).
