As a Leasing & Compliance Associate at Excel Development Group, I fill vacancies with income qualified applicants and ensure compliance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. I collaborate with external compliance agencies and State Housing Finance Authorities to review files and updates on programs changes to ensure compliance is maintained within every unit. I have a BA in Human Relations from Doane University, where I learned about interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and diversity and inclusion. I have also gained valuable skills and knowledge in leasing operations, property management, and compliance reporting from my previous role as a Property Manager at Sulieman Holdings, where I managed commercial properties and oversaw tenant relations. I am proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Office. I am passionate about providing affordable and quality housing opportunities to low-income and vulnerable populations, and ensuring that they are treated fairly and respectfully. I am also committed to continuous learning and professional development, as well as to contributing to the mission and vision of Excel Development Group.
