About Jen Walker
After volunteering at a number of animal shelters over the years, I made the move to working professionally in animal welfare in 2004. I've worked in both private nonprofits and county shelters, open-admission and limited admission facilities, with rescues, and served on a city task force. My background has a strong focus on humane education, companion animal training, and community outreach. I've taught summer-camp and after-school programs in general science, environmental studies and animal welfare, been a parks docent, and interned at a wildlife rehabilitation center.
