About Jenna Arponen

I am a Master of Science in Technology in Life Science Technologies specializing in Biosystems and Biomaterials Engineering. I graduated in 2020 from Aalto University, where the core contents of my studies included understanding cellular systems, their reprogramming, and organic chemistry in the context of medicinal chemistry. I have experience in an international environment as I did my elective studies abroad at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. In my professional career, I have shown experience working in both production and research settings, as well as technical expertise in areas such as automated liquid handling robotics and chromatographic analysis. I have always been fascinated by human well-being and the biology behind different diseases. My scientific interests include diagnostics of infectious diseases, biopharmaceutical development, and cancer research. I am also intrigued by stem cells, vaccinations, and antibodies. In my previous positions, my teamwork skills have been recognized as impressive. I have excellent communication skills in both Finnish and English, and furthermore, I am competent in German. I am a person who is driven to learn continuously from new challenges and who is not hesitant to take advantage of new opportunities.
