About Jenna Barker

I am passionate about conservation, science communication, and community engagement to improve the relationship between humans and the environment. My experience with the RSPB, IUCN, Carnivore Research Malawi, and Monash University has allowed me to build a strong foundation in research, communication, and leadership, all while working collaboratively across diverse teams. Currently based in Sierra Leone, I serve as a RSPB Technical Advisor for Research, supporting REDD+ biomonitoring efforts in the Gola Rainforest National Park. This role combines my conservation expertise with my growing interest in team and project management, where I assist with complex initiatives and drive impactful environmental outcomes through strategic coordination. I’m eager to further expand my project management skills, believing that effective leadership and team collaboration are essential for advancing conservation goals and ensuring long-term environmental sustainability.
