About Jenna Scherer

I’m a writer, editor, and copy editor living in Brooklyn. Recently, I served as the Senior Copy Editor at Backstage Magazine. Prior to that, I served as the Senior Copy Editor overseeing copy on digital shows content at Comedy Central. Before that, I was a Features Editor at Time Out New York. As a freelancer, I've written for Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Time Out New York, Condé Nast Traveler, American Theatre, Mental Floss, Hemispheres Magazine, Made Man, The Boston Herald, Time Out Boston, Explore Brooklyn, and Dig Boston. In the past, I've worked as an arts critic, copy editor, blogger, and communications coordinator. I was one of a two-person editorial team who built Time Out Boston, Time Out's first online-only publication, from the ground up. Before that, I was a regular theater and features writer for the Boston Herald. During my stint at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, I managed the lab's online presence and interviewed some of the world's top researchers and roboticists.
