About Jenna Shaw

I am a former senior loan analyst at Goldman Sachs with a background in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University in 2019 and moved to Dallas to transition into my previous role. In June of 2022, I relocated to Gananoque, Ontario where I became a permanent resident of Canada and began to seek finance and engineering roles. While in my role at Goldman, I was heavily involved in the corporate loan origination process within the Investment Banking division, but also participated in loan origination for Private Wealth Management, Global Markets, and the Asset Management Division. I also helped our team transition to taking over the Quality Control (QC) team's functions in order to make our team a front-to-back team. During our QC checks, we verified data against available documentation in order to ensure accuracy during product set up. I was able to apply the analytical skills developed in engineering school to my role on the Loan Data Quality team. My experience in the finance industry has challenged me to expand both my interests and career focus. I attended Lamar University on a full scholarship, receiving the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Metropolitan Scholarship, the Garrett Scholarship for Engineering, and the Smith Hutson Scholarship. While enrolled, I participated in an Undergraduate Research Group that emphasized Manufacturing on a nano, micro, and macro scale. I am familiar with Additive Manufacturing (Sterolithography), Nanoindenters, 3D Printing, and the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
