About Jennifer Bihr

I am a life-long learner. Most of my adult life has involved learning and teaching. For 18 years I taught piano and voice lessons, during which time I also made efforts to improve myself alongside my students. My love of learning led me to become a respiratory therapist, where I have been able to incorporate my love of teaching with my compassion for people. I believe knowledge is power, whether in musical development or in managing disease processes. We do better when we know better. This attitude has carried over to pulmonary function testing, which involves a great deal of instruction and coaching to achieve the best results. My pursuit of knowledge included earning a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, where I learned in-depth skills like personnel management, healthcare finances, insurance industry practices, ethics, and biostatistics. My Master of Science in Health Informatics and Analytics added skills such as clinical research practices, information management and governance, and grant writing.
