About Jennifer Cates

Hello, my name is Jennifer, for the previous two years, I have been employed at a lockdown juvenile behavioral health facility in Springfield, MO as a Business Office Coordinator. Pertaining to my role, I am to mange the billing for all government entities/Single Case Agreements and out of state Medicaid via our newly updated electronic billing system, hand keying in provider portals, UB's and 1500's or creating account specific invoices which are to be out in a timely manner. In addition to that, I am also responsible to verify new admissions eligibility for our inpatient, outpatient and residential benefits, collect patient responsibility, approve charity and administrative adjustments on accounts, resolving payment discrepancies and other admin duties as assigned. I am currently enrolled in University of Cincinnati, taking classes to obtain my RHIT, and will be eligible to sit to take the RHIT in Summer of 2024.
