About Jennifer Dancy

I am a hardworking, conscientious and passionate individual with an enthusiasm for learning and an excellent work ethic. Throughout my placement, I have been exposed to various areas of marketing, and have taken a particular interest in digital marketing and have enjoyed exploring various ways to market products and services in both B2B and B2C environments. This year, the company have undergone a rebrand, and my change mindset and use of the branding has enabled others to become more accepting of this. Working in collaboration with other teams has also helped me to adapt my content creation strategy, and developed my understanding of the products and services we offer. During a time of digital transformation, I have used my initiative and creativity skills, particularly in respect to events and exhibitions, and how to create a lasting impression both online and offline. I have also created content for our dealer network, where content is usually aimed towards the end customer, and has helped achieve goals to create more brand consistency throughout the network. Whilst studying for my degree, I have also gained valuable leadership and teamwork experience within my role at Oakham School, as a Swimming Teacher and Sports Attendant, where I have also improved my confidence and communication skills, through interacting with all ages. I thrive in fast-moving environments, as I am easily adaptable, whilst continuing to produce high quality work. An attribute I have that enables this is that I am highly motivated and organised, allowing me to complete multiple tasks with tight deadlines simultaneously. During my placement year, I have been exposed to B2B and B2C marketing and communications, creating content content for and managing accounts on 3 social media platforms simultaneously, using the following tools: • Blackmagic Design – filming, editing and livestreaming • Canva • Adobe - InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro • Scheduling tools – Sprout Social, Buffer and Hootsuite I am passionate about sustainability and exploring how this can be incorporated within a business, with a focus on marketing and communications. Outside of my studies, I enjoy swimming, which I have done competitively for almost 15 years. My other hobby is playing the flute, in which I have achieved a Merit in my practical ARSM Diploma.
