I partner with attorneys, physicians, and fellow LNCs to provide sharp, clinically-grounded insight in obstetric and neonatal cases. My dual specialty across labor & delivery and NICU helps legal teams understand what truly happened, what should have happened, and what might have been missed…without bias toward plaintiff or defense. With 22+ years as a registered nurse, 18 of those in a Level NICU and 4 in obstetrics, I bring a rare combination of frontline experience and legal acumen. I’ve reviewed cases ranging from premature birth and HIE to shoulder dystocia and postpartum complications. Whether acting as a legal nurse consultant behind the scenes or testifying as an expert witness, I deliver clear, medically-sound opinions that attorneys can rely on. My goal is to be the clinical partner legal teams turn to when birth-related outcomes are under legal scrutiny. I collaborate seamlessly with attorneys, expert witnesses, and fellow legal nurses, making sure every chart is combed, every question is asked, and every angle is considered. I stay current on standards of care, and I approach each case with integrity, clarity, and respect for all parties involved. Finally, I am keen on staying up to date by consistently attending continuing education courses which include: OB patient safety during emergencies, neonatal resuscitation, intermediate/advanced fetal monitoring, and improving outcomes for mothers and babies.
