About Jennifer Heath

As an employment lawyer, I am dedicated to improving the health and productivity of my clients’ workplaces. I am well-versed in current employment case law and statutes, but I am also sensitive to the practical impact of the law on both employers and employees. With my solid experience in handling a wide range of workplace issues, I have represented small and medium sized businesses to large organizations across various industry sectors, including manufacturing, energy and technology. My skills include drafting employment and independent contractor agreements, termination letters and workplace policies for employers. I have also provided advice regarding terminations as well as wrongful and constructive dismissal claims involving senior executives and employees. I have conducted numerous mediations and hearings relating to issues such as wrongful dismissal and disability. I advise clients on a wide range of common law, contractual and statutory rights and obligations, including those obligations under the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act and the Human Rights Code. My work also involves representing clients before the Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Board.
