About Jennifer Hiebert

In 2004 Jennifer started working on her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research was focused in the area of neuropsychology and investigated patterns in eye movements when rating facial attractiveness. This experience allowed Jennifer to develop strong skills in research design, methodology and statistical analysis. During her time at the University of Saskatchewan Jennifer taught several upper level psychology courses. This provided the opportunity to gain skills in course development and knowledge translation. Following completion of her Ph.D. Jennifer took a position with the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council and began working in an applied research skills. Health Quality Council provided training in Quality Improvement methodology that led to several opportunities to develop quality improvement materials and workshops. During her tenure at Health Quality Council Jennifer has further developed her knowledge translation and systems thinking skills. While working at Health Quality Council Jennifer was also able to focus on program evaluation and build skills in qualitative analysis and survey development. Health Quality Council works with the Saskatchewan Health Care System in its entirety, though Jennifer took the opportunity to focus on Primary Health Care, clinical practice redesign and chronic disease management. Jennifer is able to bring a unique perspective to quality improvement work as a result of her rigorous measurement background. In 2013, Jennifer accepted a position as Quality Consultant with the Saskatoon Health Region. In this position Jennifer has focused on the development of a regional measurement strategy, site specific improvement projects, patient experience surveys, facilitation of strategic deployment and implementation of other LEAN concepts.
