About Jennifer Hoffman

Jennifer serves as the leader of Grant Thornton's National Higher Education and Not-for-Profit audit Practice and is also responsible for leading Grant Thornton's East Region Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative. Jennifer has nearly twenty five years of experience serving clients in the Higher Education and Not-for-Profit sector and brings a variety of experience and skills to her clients. Her clients have included social service organizations, religious organizations as well as foundations and higher education institutions. Jennifer serves as the engagement partner or quality review partner on many of the most complex not-for-profit engagements at the firm and as a resource and subject matter specialist to our teams around the firm. She is a frequent speaker at external industry events both nationally and locally, as well as at Grant' Thornton's industry seminars and training sessions. In addition to her client serving role, Jen serves as Grant Thornton's East Region leader of the firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative and as an Executive Sponsor for the firm's Women and Allies Business Resource Group. Jennifer is the Chair of the AICPA's Not-for-Profit Expert Panel and has been a speaker on AICPA NFP industry webcasts and at the AICPA Not-for-Profit Annual Conference in Washington DC. Jennifer is the Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Catholic Health Services' Continuing Care Division and the past Treasurer of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Long Island Board. She also is a steering committee member of the Long Island Women's Collaborative and an active member of the Accounting Advisory Board at her alma mata, the University at Albany.
