With over 15 years of experience in leadership and strategic management, I oversee large-scale localization projects and initiatives as the Sr. Global Director of Communication and Translation. By steering six teams of linguists, I adeptly manage an annual portfolio of 4 to 4.5 million words across five languages—Chinese, French, Indonesian, Spanish, and Malay—reaching nine markets worldwide, including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Set forth SOPs for localization processes, created training materials for new hires globally, and automated the translation request process, all of which led to efficient, cost-effective, and culturally relevant project completions across various departments for global markets. Assisted with analysis and strategies relating to localization, culturally relevant campaigns, and training for local linguists and translation vendors during new market launches in Spain, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Drove quality assurance initiatives that leveraged existing human resources without incurring additional expenses for content on websites, publications, creative assets, and simultaneous interpretation at major company events, enforcing rigorous standards to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all assignments.
