About Jennifer Murchison
Having worked in higher education for the past 20+ years, I have seen leaders grow from timid first-year students. I have seen students from a variety of intersectional identities realize their potential and reach goals they were told were impossible due to disability. I have witnessed young professionals gain self-confidence and thrive in fields where they were not previously welcomed or accepted due to the marginalization they experienced from adolescence and on. I am a proud disabled woman who advocates for others across identities, be it race, gender, sexual, religious, or disabled. I have worked with nurses, doctors, lawyers, judges, research scientists, professors, teachers, business owners, philanthropists, preachers, rabbis, imams, work-in-the-home parents, and life-long learners. I am proud of the work I do to ensure access, compliance, and opportunities across fields and industries. Disability is an essential part of diversity. I work daily to keep it in the mindset of decision-makers and creators.
