Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 30 years of behavioral health expertise delivering services in both clinical and organizational settings. General clinical practitioner with developed specialties in substance abuse disorders, geriatric mental health, health psychology, and work absence management. Dr. Nash-Wright is currently engaged in full time clinical practice with Associated Clinic of Psychology serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Current clinical work involves conducting diagnostic assessments, crisis interventions and psychotherapy services on site with contracted transitional care units and long term care facilities. Primary client population includes older adults facing changes in health and functional status due to acute illness, injury, or aging. Current role also involves providing consultation services for facility care teams on related behavioral health issues and training workshops for multidisciplinary staff. Previous clinical work included serving a wide range of clinical populations in community based and correctional settings. Previously seven years of full time consultation work in absence management and work disability. Has presented at national conferences and as a trainer for clinical/medical providers, claims and disability specialists, and customer service professionals on a variety of behavioral health topics including return to work barriers, recovery, motivational interviewing, and effective communication strategies for challenging populations.
