About Jennifer Perlmutter

My passion reaches beyond the arts into the economic health and vitality of our downtown communities. Where would we be without places to meet and find commonality with one another? This question drives my business in the arts and inspires me to want to solve issues beyond what to hang on the wall (although I love doing that too!). The pop-up gallery in Lafayette, CA JPG@The Bank, now our full-time space, has been a laboratory of art exhibits, interactive vault exhibit, concerts and place-making. I have learned this collaborative and community centric model can be profitable and can turn dark empty storefronts into vital meeting places for commerce and community. in August 2020, a 3rd gallery began as a "pop-up" project with another artist in Carmel by the Sea, CA. We have now added that as a long-term gallery. Over the last 12 years +/, of my art career my paintings have been exhibited in New York, LA, SF and other cities in CA. I have been commissioned to Seoul, S. Korea 3 times to teach technique to a world leading developer. In 2011 I was invited to speak at TEDx Monterey and titled my talk,"Begin Where You Are". What most interests me about art and the process of creativity is the transformative power it can have in our life. Allowing creativity to flow opens up a doorway to unlimited possibility. For this reason I believe and teach that art has the power to heal. Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery in Lafayette, CA founded in February 2014, serves Contra Costa County and the Bay Area at large. Rotating exhibition schedule of modern and contemporary art. Artist talks, demonstrations and community make this gallery a place for the artist as well as the seasoned collector. We proudly represent masters in oil, mixed media, stone and ceramic. Full service art sales including home trials, installation and studio visits with top Bay Area artists.
